Hello dear readers,
I felt that I needed to update you all after one year being absent from my blog.
Since then I have tried myself in a full-time working busy-bee-lifestyle. I have been working as a safety engineer and received all of the perks of being employed in Sweden i.e. flexible working schedule, flat hierarchical organizational structure and lots of coffee breaks (fika!!). I can now drive a car and speak pretty fluent Swedish.
Never the less, I know there is more out there to explore and I am eager to keep going and learning because this is what brings me most joy! I also want to feel free and geographically detached. Why? I don’t know, I just know it is the right way for me. We all have that strong inner voice, right? But to follow or not to follow is up to us. This may explain why I and Pär live in a mobile home but it is a topic for another post.
To accomplish this mission I have decided to look into Digital marketing professions, the ones that are notorious for giving an opportunity to work remotely. I have always been curious about marketing, brand awareness, sale and the fact that these disciplines are heavily reliant on a knowledge of human behavior.
So how do I get myself into this digital world? Then I heard of www.coursera.org (Thank you Pär!). The course called Specialization in Search Engine Optimization (SEO). You can take a whole course absolutely cost-free. And I loved it! I am now through two courses (each course lasts four weeks). Like all online courses, you are given material and a structure for studying but it is up to you to put time and effort into the process. As part of this course, I am now reading The Art of SEO: Mastering Search Engine Optimization by Eric Enge. It’s fascinating how much you can learn from the comfort of your home. You got to love it!
Soon I can call myself SEO specialist and I know it will be an exciting journey!
